Choosing with your own sense

It’s always fun to choose your own crystals/stones. You may choose from your favourite colours or you might already have a stone that has memories within it.

It’s totally up to you to choose the one that you like. But if you are not sure there are few ways to choose …

Choosing by Chakra

If you are a yoga lover then you may be familiar with the Chakras that we have in our body. Each Chakra has deep meaning to keep your body balanced physically and mentally. The seven Chakras also have seven different colours that represent it. You may find a stone that matches up with your need.

Here are the seven chakras from the bottom to the top.

✤Root Chakra: Earth, Grounding, Stability

Red, Brown,Black

✤Sacral Chakra: Water, Relationship, emotions and sexuality

✤Solar Plexus Chakra: Fire, Energy, Will Power, Desire

✤Heart Chakra: Air, Balance, Love and connection

✤Third Eye Chakra: Light, Intuition, Understanding

Choosing using Birthstones

This may be the most popular way for choosing your stone.

A list of modern Birthstones which were introduced by the Jewellers of United State in 1912.

January : Garnet February : Amethyst March : Aquamarine

April : Diamond May : Emerald June : Pearl

July : Ruby August :Peridot September : Sapphire

October : Opal November : Topaz/Citrine December : Turquoise/ Tanzanite

By using this list you can get an idea for what stone you would like to use. I don’t think that it will always matches with your style, so you can use other ways to choose the one that you feel is right for you.

Since I am studying stones I like to go little bit more deeper about birthstones, for example where it started in history….

Traditional Birthstone’s history goes back in the first century, a historian believed there was a connection between the twelve stones in High Priest Breastplate(tribes israel regard to Book of Exodus) and the twelve month of the year.

In the eight and ninth century, religious treaties associating a particular stone with an apostle were written.People were keeping all twelve stones and wear one once a month !

choosing by Astrological way

When it comes to Astrology, it get more complicated to understand deeply, but it’s so interesting.

First we need to know the basics of both Astrology and meaning of individual crystals. Again you can go deep as you wish but I like to introduce simple tips here.

✵Find your Zodiac signs by birthday

✵Study about your zodiac sign

✵ask yourself to find out which part of yourself need a little help or support

✵Chose the right stone by finding out meaning behind it

For example

My zodiac sing is Sagittarius,

Sagittarius’s element is Fire and colour is Blue.Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius.

Sagittarius are generous, idealistic, free spirited . But I can be very impatient and not grounded.

So I would choose Turquoise for grounding and to enhance my intuition. I may also choose clear quartz to cleanse my mind and to focus what I really want to achieve.

I hope you will find your Crystal/stone that you will love…. xx
